Meet the Dentists

Dr. Joseph Dehyar graduated from the Temple School of Dentistry in 2005. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and research experience in chemical sciences, including work at LyondellBasell Chemical Company, where he obtained a patent for the use of comb-branched copolymers in gypsum compositions. He also conducted research on ovarian cancer from 1999–2000 at Chester Hospital in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Dedicated to professional growth, Dr. Dehyar regularly attends conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on advancements in dentistry and related fields. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association® (ADA) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and has been recognized with the Excellence in Dentistry Award for his contributions to the field. He has been practicing dentistry since 2005.

Dr. Dehyar’s goal as a dentist is to help patients achieve their ultimate health by providing the best possible dental care and fostering a positive, comfortable environment for everyone who entrusts him with their needs.

Family is an important part of Dr. Dehyar’s life, with three dentists in his immediate family. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with loved ones, hiking, and volunteering to help others. He has visited Afghanistan three times to assist orphans and families with dental emergencies, and one of his aspirations is to provide free dental care on a larger scale for those in need there.

Dr. Elham Dehyar graduated from the Temple University School of Dentistry in 2019 and has been serving the Northern Virginia community since then. He completed his undergraduate studies at George Mason University and continues his education multiple times a year through ongoing CE courses. Dr. Dehyar has advanced implant training, earning AAIP and ICOI Fellowship in 2021, and is an Invisalign Diamond Provider as of 2024. He also maintains active memberships in the ADA, ICOI and AAIP.

His goal as a dentist is to provide exceptional, comfortable and comprehensive care that makes a meaningful difference for patients in the community. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, as well as working out, hiking and traveling. Having worked in his family’s dental business since high school, he is proud to now care for many of the same patients who have known him since he was a teenager.

Dr. Tamanah Anwari earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, graduating in 2022. She also completed her undergraduate studies at VCU, where she majored in biology with minors in chemistry and psychology, graduated summa cum laude, and was an Honors Student.

Committed to continual learning, Dr. Anwari takes CE courses every few months to further her dental education and skills. Her advanced training includes Molis Invisalign Coaching and CAD/CAM digital dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Virginia Dental Association (VDA), and the American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD).

Having grown up in Northern Virginia, Dr. Anwari moved back from Richmond and has been practicing in the area for over two years. Her goal as a dentist is to never stop learning and to always provide quality, personal care for her patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident that they are receiving the best dental care.

Dr. Anwari is the oldest of four children, a first-generation college graduate, and a first-generation American. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys drawing and painting—mostly realistic portraits and landscapes—reading novels, and trying new recipes. She specializes in cosmetic dentistry and is an Invisalign provider.

Dr. Nabiel Dehyar joined the practice in June 2025. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from George Mason University, graduating magna cum laude in 2021. He continued his education at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and graduated cum laude in 2025.

His favorite part of working at the practice is the family-oriented environment and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with both patients and team members. His goal is to provide high-quality dental care and create a comfortable experience for every patient. He is committed to educating patients about their oral health and helping them make informed decisions about treatment options best suited to their needs.

Dr. Dehyar is very family-oriented and spends most of his weekends enjoying family events and group activities. In his free time, he likes to watch football, spend time with friends and family, and travel.
